Bodum's history dates back to 1944, when Peter Bodum launched the company in Copenhagen, Denmark. Bodum first produced coffeemakers that followed the principle that form should follow function. As the company grew, it quickly made a name for itself, and became synonymous with iconic classic French presses and good Scandinavian design.
Today Bodum produces coffee, tea, glassware, kitchen electrics and gadgets that are developed under the core principles of functionality, affordability and good design. Bodum products can be found in over 55 countries and remains a family owned business, run Peter Bodum's son Jorgen.
