The Emile Henry Round Stewpot is 30% lighter than typical Cast Iron Dutch Ovens and is devoid of metals, allowing you to gently cook without oxidizing your food. The Stewpot is also an excellent heat diffuse, and cooking with very high temperatures are therfore unnecessary. It is recommended to start cooking on low and introduce the heat gradually. The durable raw clay is also resistant to mechanical shocks and temperature changes. 

Made in France, the Emile Henry Round Stewpot is made of Burgundy clay that is taken from the surrounding country side of Marcigny. Made of an innovative ceramic technology that is remarkably hard and flameproof, the Emile Henry Stewpot can be used directly on a stove top, grill and then can be placed in the oven to roast or bake. Microwave and dishwasher safe, the Emile Henry Round Stewpot is available in Charcoal (Fusain / Pepper Black)  and Grand Cru (Burgundy Red) and has a 4 L / 4.2 Qt capacity.
