About Raven Rising Chocolates
Created by Red Seal pastry chef and chocolatier Tammy Maki, Raven Rising is located in Sudbury, Ontario. A part of Raven Rising's mission is to create chocolates and pastries with a focus on traditional ingredients sourced, wherever possible, from Indigenous people in Canada and across the world.
Tammy Maki is a proud Saulteaux Ojibwe Kwe from White Bear First Nation in Saskatchewan. A product of the '60's Scoop', she was adopted to a Finnish family in Ontario. She jokingly refers to herself as Finndian.
A portion of proceeds are donated to Orange Shirt Society - a program creating awareness for the impacts of Indian Residential Schools.
