The Emile Henry Round Stewpot is 30% lighter than typical Cast Iron Dutch Ovens and is devoid of metals, allowing you to gently cook without oxidizing your food. The Stewpot is also an excellent heat diffuse, and cooking with very high temperatures are therfore unnecessary. It is recommended to start cooking on low and introduce the heat gradually. The durable raw clay is also resistant to mechanical shocks and temperature changes.
