Wonderfully seasoned and baked to perfection with our natural blend of Herbs & Spices, this mix makes it easy to add the classic flavors to this iconic dish without the hassle of chopping and prepping from scratch.
All you need:
- Scalloped Potato Seasoning (included)
- 8 medium Yukon gold potatoes, thinly sliced
- 56 g (4 tbsp) salted butter, divided
- 37 g (3 tbsp) flour
- 6 g (1 tsp) salt
- 375 ml (1 ½ cup) whole milk
- 125 g (1 ½ cup) grated sharp cheddar, or gruyere cheese
All you do:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a saucepan over low heat, melt 3 tbsp of butter. Stir in the flour, salt and Scalloped Potato Seasoning. Continue to cook over low heat, stirring constantly until the mixture is bubbly. Whisk in the milk, raise the heat to medium-high and continue to stir until the sauce thickens (about 5-7 minutes). Remove from heat and set aside.
In a greased 8” x 8” ovenproof dish, arrange the sliced potatoes in three layers, topping the first two layers with 1/3 of the sauce. Top the third layer with the remaining sauce and shredded cheese, then dot with the remaining 1 tbsp of butter. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 60 minutes, until potatoes are soft and the cheese is golden and bubby.
