Great for parents and kids to make together, or for grandparents to spoil the little ones with, our Peanut Butter Jam Jam Cookie recipe provides a super amount of fun to be a part of. From mixing the peanut butter batter, using a cookie scoop, or smushing the cookies together for the finishing touch, these steps will be an absolute blast for kids to take part in. 

These jam jams are also a wonderfully healthy alternative to traditional sugary cookies, while still delivering on the rich and sweet goodness everyone wants from their snacks. So whether its you or your kids munching on these gooey treats, you can feel great about having them at school, work, or as an after dinner dessert.

Led by creamy peanut butter and sweet raspberry or strawberry jam, the delicious flavours found in these cookies is best enjoyed on a very large plate and with a cold glass of milk by your side!




  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • Coarse salt for sprinkling
  • Raspberry or strawberry jam


  1. Preheat oven to 350 F
  2. Mix peanut butter, sugar, vanilla and egg until well combined
  3. Scoop about one teaspoon of mixture on cookie sheet an inch apart
  4. Flatten with tines of fork to make a crosshatch
  5. Sprinkle with coarse salt
  6. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until cookies have golden edges
  7. Let sit on sheet or rack until they are solid and cool to touch
  8. Choosing two similarly sized cookies at a time, spread jam on underside of one and top with the other
  9. Enjoy!


Final Thoughts

Our recipe works best with strawberry or raspberry jam but you can definitely substitute for a flavour you prefer more. For vegan eaters we recommend substituting unsweetened applesauce for the eggs, and switching the peanut butter for sunflower butter if someone has a peanut allergy.
